One of the founder members of AIFWL, Advocate Preeti Shah practices in Mumbai since 1980, when she enrolled on the Roll of Maharashtra Bar Council and also as Advocate –On -- Record in the High Court of Judicature at Mumbai. She had a brilliant academic career as a Law Student and she has won the Most Outstanding Student of the Year Trophy in Government Law College and many Certificates and Prizes for Moot Court Competitions. Besides her practice in Civil Law, she regularly appears before Tribunals, Directorates, Arbitrators, Banks, Private and Public Corporations and Charitable Organizations. She is notified as Mediator on the panel of the Bombay City Civil Court and is currently Hon. Secretary of the Intellectual Property Law Practitioners Association.
She has also served as Vice President of AIFWL and is very active in the Maharashtra Federation of Women Lawyers. Apart from being member of International Bar Association, member of National Geographic Society, she has held various posts in different committees and is serving as Charter Member and Vice President of Crafts Council of Maharashtra. She is an active member of Rotary Club of Mumbai and Rotary International.
With her several affiliations and associations, she organizes, attends and addresses seminars and workshops on legal topics mainly on the empowerment of women and mainly for the welfare of the disabled. Her social service includes organizing Camps for Motivation and Vocational Training for Street Children, Free Jaipur Foot Camps, Free Cataract Surgeries and other welfare activities.
She brings very valuable insights to the organization and helps build the organization strongly so as to fulfil the aims and objectives. Her excellent co-ordination skills has helped the organization to continuously move forward and come out with new and good programs for the benefit of its members.
