Advocate Ms. Jayshree Akolkar, Honorary Vice President, AIFWL



Jayashri Prabhakar Akolkar has been practicing lawyer for the past 33 years. She received her LL.B. from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in the year 1983 along with Journalism and Russian language. She has practiced as Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor from 1993 to 2003, in the High Court Bench at Aurangabad. She also appears in Civil, Criminal, Cooperative, Tenancy and Matrimonial matters. Currently she is practicing on the Appellate side in the Bombay High Court. As Vice-President of the Aurangabad Bar Association and Executive Committee Member of Appellate side bar association of the Bombay High Court, she brings to the organization a lot of experience which has helped the members of the organization. She heads the Maharashtra Federation of Women Lawyers. She was nominated by the Chancellor of Nanded University as the Legal head of the University for five years and appointed as the Executive Member of the Maharashtra Legal Aid Commission for the year 2016-2019. She conducts various legal awareness programs for the women jail inmates, in several districts across Maharashtra.
