The Tamil Nadu Federation of Women Lawyers was happy to host the National Conference of the All India Federation at Chennai. A 55 member team of the Conference Organising Committee conducted the Conference in a grand manner.
The Theme of the Conference was Empowerment of Women and the keynote address was given by Hon’ble Mrs. Ranjana P. Desai, Judge, Supreme Court. Hon’ble Mr. P. Sathasivam, Judge, Supreme Court as he was then, presently the Chief Justice of India inaugurated the conference .Hon’ble Mr. D. Murugesan, Judge, Madras High Court released the Souvenir and the first designated Senior Advocate of Madras High Court, Mrs. Nalini Chidambaram received the same. Hon’ble Mrs. Jayanthi Natarajan, Minister of State, Ministry of Environment and Forest and Mr. C. Ve. Shanmugham, Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Welfare, Law, Courts and Prisons, Government of Tamil Nadu. |

| In recognition of the service of Tamil Nadu Federation of Women Lawyers, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Ms. J. Jayalalitha had announced a sum of Rs 20, 00,000/-for the conduct of the conference. Hon’ble M.Yusuf Iqbal, Chief Justice of Madras, High Court addressed the gathering. Mr. P. Navaneetha Krishnan ,Advocate General of TamilNadu, Mrs. Sheela Anish, President, FIDA, Mr.P.H.Parekh, President, Supreme Bar Association also greeted the Conference. |
