M Bhaskaralakshmi, Past President, AIFWL



Smt. Bhaskar Lakshmi is one of the founder members of AIFWL and has been greatly instrumental in steering the organization on its path of progress. With her experience as a lawyer, a social activist and one who is committed to help all those who need her help, Bhaskar Lakshmi has been a strong source of support to all at AIFWL. During her tenure as President of AIFWL, she organized and hosted he National Conference at Hyderabad which was inaugurated by Former Late Chief Justice of India Shri Altamas Kabir. Her hard work in the organization has made the organization very strong and stable. She is a designated Senior Counsel having a standing of around 37 years at the Bar. She has cases under various branches of Law, i.e. Constitutional, Service law, Company Law, Civil and Family Laws. She is lawyer on the panel of the National Insurance Company. She has been Advocate-on-Record (Standing Counsel) for the High Court of Andhra Pradesh for eighteen years and Andhra Pradesh State Legal Services Authority for almost twelve years. She has been member of Permanent Lok Adalat Bench of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. She has served as Chairperson of Complaint Cells established for redressal of grievances for working women in Hyderabad. Presently she is member of the Redressal Grievance Committee for working women in the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad. Besides her legal practice, she is a social worker taking up service activities in various fields with Rotary International and also her family Trust Annapurna Bhaskari Foundation. She is Bharata Natyam Dancer and well conversant with Karnatika Music. Has won many awards.
